Mellow Yellow...

Nothing says happiness and cheer like Yellow.  Lets bring on the sunshine and Spring with these different ways to add some yellow to your rooms.  Some rather un-expexted.  I love love LOVE the last picture, and how they spray painted the metal chain for the light fixture and the metal bedside floor lamp.  It is a great idea if you ask me.

Amazing Find...

On one of my many many trips through some of the Antique shops here in Boise, I was about to leave and head on my way home...and in the corner of my eyes I saw THIS!  The colors and texures are to die for, and I had to have it.  It actually came as a set of two, so I am selling one of them.

Vintage Makeovers

I don't know about you but I am REALLY kind of obsessed with vintage dishes, especially those cute little tea cups and saucers.  I don't always have an idea of what I am going to do with them or how they will even fit into the decor of my home, but I have found the perfect way to put your own style into those little treasures.

These are the items you will need:

  • Dish of your choice (preferably one with a fun pattern on it)
  • Adhesive Foil, White Mat
  • Sparypaint
  • Templates
  • Scissors
  • Cutter
How to Create:

Prepare the baking plates by making them grease-free. Trace your pattern or template on the adhesive foil

Cut it out from the adhesive foil and paste it onto your plate. Make sure you rub the adhesive foil securely, there should be no paint running under. Spray a thin layer of paint on your plate, it is fun when the original pattern of your plate shines thorugh the paint. Allow the plates to dry and then carefully pull the adhesive foil.  The stencils used for these plates are from Ed Roth.

Have fun creating!

New Jewelry Line...

Well here it is... my new jewlery line!  After a few months of deciding whether or not to put my ideas into tangible items, I came up with a couple of starter pieces to get it started.

When coming up with ideas for my creations I am always inspired by my surroundings.  I have been holding on to some of my grandmothers jewelry, and thinking of ways I could wear them, while not having to wear clip on earings.  So, I decided to give them a new approach.  I created a necklace for myself using some of her clip on earings and loved it so much that I decided to make more.  These pieces that are in my shop are vintage jewels mixed with cotton fabric.  I just love the mixture of textures, and it is such an eco-friendly way of being fashionable.

I hope you all like this new line as much as I do.
