Damn Fine Tea...

Are these not the coolest tea sets ever!

Damn Fine Tea sells their teas in limited quantities, so it would be really fun to get your hands on some. I haven't tried any of these because I am an avid coffee drinker, but wouldn't this be such a fun gift for that tea enthusiast.  It would look so cute just sitting on your kitchen shelf. If any of you have tried this please tell me about your experience with this company.

Heather Bailey...

If you haven't heard of Heather Bailey, you are missing out on a whole World of yummy.  She is one of those women that I wish I could get inside of her brain. She went from going to school to become a surgeon, and came out with a degree in apparel design. Her textile designs are to die for, and are full of imagination and sunshine.  Heather is a huge inspiration to me.  She is a dedicated mother, and still finds a way to live her dreams.

Her website is so much fun.  You can find anything from D.I.Y. projects, to hair ties and fabrics.  Love her!

Rose la biche...

Ok.... as a t-shirt and jeans kinda girl, this line of clothing just makes me giddy.  I have been tempted so many times by her wonderful T's and I think I just might cave in soon.  Rose la biche is a clothing line based out of Paris France. She works with American Apparel and kind of gives the shirts a new whimsical and fun spin.  My ABSOLUTE FAVORITE one is the Frou Frou shirt.  It is so gorgeous, and looks quite comfy as well.  Take a stroll about her shop...  she is genius!

Summer to me...

This weekend has been the official start to summer...well...for me anyways. There is nothing like soaking up some sun, brunch and with friends and my daughter Paige splashing me from her pool as I sip my mojito. I swear I could live in the sunshine year round.

Ingredients

1 teaspoon superfine sugar (or simple syrup)

2 springs fresh mint

Squeeze fresh lime juice

2 ounces light rum

Splash club soda

Ice cubes

Directions

Place sugar and mint in a tall glass and using the back of a spoon, mash the mint leaves into the sugar. Add the remaining ingredients, mix, and serve.

* I find that making a simple syrup of sugar and water, and pre squeezing the limes ahead of time and keeping that in the fridge makes this drink a bit easier to prepare.  Especially if you are hosting a party and don't want to spend all of your time making drinks*
